90210 was one the biggest television shows of the 1990s following the lives of teenagers living in Beverly Hills. Now the show has been rebooted as BH90210 with many of the original cast returning, including Christine Elise who played Emily Valentine. Here’s what you need to know about her.

Who plays Emily Valentine in BH90210?

Emily Valentine was a character played by Christine Elise in the original 1990s series 90210.

The actor is now appearing in the new reboot of the classic show.

The premise of the series is that years after the actors have gone their separate ways, they reunite to get a reboot of the show up and running.

The series then follows the trials and tribulations that happen when the stars who have not seen each other in 19 years reunite.

One of the returning characters is Elise who began in the series back when she starred as Valentine.

The character first appeared in season two as a troubled transfer student who stole Brandon’s (played by Jason Priestley) heart.

But she faced some difficulties when Brandon broke up with her after he found out she had slipped a drug into his drink.

This incident caused Valentine to suffer an emotional breakdown, even attempting to douse a West Beverly homecoming float with flammable liquid.

However, fans will remember Brenda (Shannen Doherty) and Dylan (Luke Perry) managed to talk her down before she could commit the crime.

She appeared on and off throughout the remaining seasons of the show, including when her and Brandon reunited in Los Angeles.

Elise is best known for playing the role in 90210 but she also went onto star in a number of films and shows.

The 54-year-old from Boston played the role of Kyle in the 1990 film Child’s Play 2 about killer doll Chucky.

The actor also had a recurring role on ER as Harper Tracy in the mid-90s, as well as in L.A. Firefighters as Erin Coffey.

More recently, she has starred in Castle, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Charmed.

When her role in BH90210 was revealed on Instagram, the actor wrote in the comments: “I could not be more humbled or happier!!!”

She stars in the show alongside many of the other original stars, including Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling.

FOX described the show in the official synopsis: “Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ reboot up and running.

“But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself.

“What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?”

BH90210 is currently airing on FOX on Thursdays.
