Piers Morgan'sfans have been left surprised by how young the former Good Morning Britain host’s dad looks.
Taking Instagram to wish his dad a happy birthday, the 56-year-old shared a throwback snap of the pair.
The photo showed the father and son duo enjoying a massive bottle of Veuve Clicquot at an event together.
The TV hostwore a simple black polo shirt and dark trousers, while his stepdad Glynne wore a cream suit with a white shirt and Panama hat.
Piers shared the photo and wrote: “Happy 80th Birthday to my Dad… a great man who taught me the two golden rules in life.
“1) Always be polite to police officers and 2) Always drink the best French wine you can afford.
“Sadly for him, he forgot the third one…”
He finished: “Never let your son grow up to be an Arsenal fan if you support Spurs.”
While lots of fans commented on the post wishing Glynne a happy birthday, other fans pointed out how amazing he looks for his age.
One fan commented: “Looks like your younger brother.”
Another said: “Your dad looks incredible.”
A third said: “Gosh, he looks so young!!”
While another joked: “Why do you look older than your dad.”
Piers’ biological father – Eamonn Vincent O’Meara – died tragically when he was just a year old.
His mum Gabrielle married Glynne Pughe-Morgan, and the couple decided that Piers would take on his surname.
The Sunreports that in 2019 at the Irish Post Awards, Piers explained that: “My father was Eamonn Vincent O’Meara and he died when I was just one.
“He came from Galway and he had a sister who moved to Offaly and a lot of cousins in Dublin. So I feel very Irish.”
