Love Islands Amber Gill says shes ‘switched teams and brands men ‘the worst’

Former Love Island winner Amber Gill has put the male islanders of the 2022 series on blast as she hinted that she was "switching teams".

The brunette beauty won the 2019 series along with Greg O’Shea and she took to social media to let her thoughts on this year’s crop of contestants be known.

The infamous Casa Amor twist on the hit ITV2 dating show is in full swing as the girls left the main villa to spend time with six new boys, as couples are separated and loyalties are put to the test.

The original boys in the main villa were thought to be in committed partnerships, but they have sparked outrage for the show’s fans as at least three of the boys – Dami, Andrew and Davide – have been cracking on with the new bombshells.

But 24-year-old Amber took to Twitter to give her fans an update on what she really thinks, writing: “Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life," alongside a string of funny emojis.

Fans immediately reacted to Amber’s cryptic tweet as she also gave another update, writing: “Watching men makes me feel ill I couldn’t put myself through it again” – hinting that the former contestant may be looking at dating women as she blasted the actions of this year’s male contestants.

The former reality star later expanded on her comments on the Secure The Insecure Podcast.

She opened up to host Johnny Seifert clarifying that although she intended to make a joke about the series, she may be putting the behaviour of men behind her.

She explained: “I'm making a joke because all those men are now acting crazy. And I'm just glad that I don’t deal with that anymore…”

She added: “I'll say what I want to say when I'm ready to share, there's no need to speculate or anything, you know, we can all see like, you know what I'm saying?”

Although the social media star gave plenty of hints about her love life, she is determined to keep tight-lipped for the time being as she enjoys playing the field.

Amber said: “When I'm ready to say, well, I want to say that I will… I don't want to feel like I want to say anything whilst I'm single.”
