Jorja Smith Is a Superhero Looking for Love in New "Come Over" Visual Featuring Popcaan

Jorja Smith returns with her new single “Come Over” featuring Popcaan and an animated music video created by London based creative studio Future Power Station.

The animation takes place in an immersive world set sometime in the future, where Black Lives Matter billboards still appear through the city skyline. It’s heavily inspired by Akira. She struggles of her miscommunication with a crush on social media which matches the chorus, “I don’t know if you want me to come over, don’t want to ask, really I should know better.” Despite all that, Jorja rises above and transforms into a super-hero to combat misogynist robots. Popcaan injects some serious energy around the song’s midway point.

Earlier this year, Jorja released her “By Any Means” single and music video, paying tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement as part of Roc Nation’s Reprise project meant to bring awareness to social justice issues. She also delivered her powerful “Rose Rouge” visual and cover for the Bluenote Re:imgained compilation.
