The teenagers of the village have been at the centre of many storylines in Emmerdale throughout the years – but do you know where some of the soap's teen stars are now?

Daily Star takes a closer look at where the actors who played some of Emmerdale's famous teenagers are now.

Karl Davies (Robert Sugden)

Karl Davies was the second actor to play Robert Sugden, after taking over from Christopher Smith in 2002.

From his long-running feud with brother Andy to flings with Donna Windsor and sister-in-law Katie Sugden, Robert caused some serious drama while he was in the dales.

After leaving the soap in 2005, Karl later made a cameo appearance in 2009 – but has since risen to global fame in a number of TV series.

This includes playing Alton Lannister in Game Of Thrones, Daniel Cawood in Happy Valley, DCI Tim Bailie in The Tower and most recently, appearing as Carl McGregor in The Bay.

It is no surprise then that the star is estimated to have a gigantic net worth of £1.65m.

However, his life could have been completely different, as The Sun reports that Karl enjoyed extreme sports as a teenager and competed in climbing competitions in his early to mid-teens, before deciding to enter the world of acting.

Away from the limelight, Karl has been married to his longtime girlfriend Amy Blackburn since 2019.

Luke Tittensor (Darren 'Daz' Eden)

Darren 'Daz' Eden was at the centre of many dramatic storylines during his time on Emmerdale between 2003 to 2009.

These included sibling rivalry with half-brother Andy Sugden and romantic dramas with Andy's adopted sister Victoria Sugden.

However, it is reported that after six years on the soap, Luke was axed from Emmerdale after he pleaded guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm after fracturing a 16-year-old's jaw.

At the time, a spokesperson for Emmerdale said: "We cannot condone criminal behaviour. Luke regrets his behaviour and understands this situation."

He has since continued to appear on our screens, starring in the BBC drama The Beneficiary as part of the Moving On Series, as well as the 2014 film Pudsey the Dog: The Movie.

Luke also appeared in the film Madame Bovary, as well as BBC One school drama Waterloo Road.

He's not the only famous star in his family either, as his twin brother Elliot Tittensor played Carl Gallagher in the hit Channel 4 series Shameless.

The former Emmerdale star also delighted fans with a snap of him and his twin on Instagram in 2018, with Luke looking very different to his soap days, as he rocked long hair and a full beard in a complete transformation

After six years away from our TV screens, Luke has also recently made a return to acting in the Game Of Thrones prequel House Of Dragon as Ser Arryk Carguyll.

Chelsea Halfpenny (Amy Wyatt)

Chelsea Halfpenny played troublesome teenager Amy Wyatt in Emmerdale – but did you know that she's not the only famous star in her family?

Chelsea is the niece of Byker Grove's Nicola Dobson actress Jill Halfpenny and made her own debut in the BBC children's drama as Lucy Summerbee between 2004 to 2006.

From there, she landed the role of teenager Amy Wyatt in Emmerdale in 2010, and in an unexpected coincidence, Amy starred opposite Charlie Hardwick in Emmerdale, who also landed one of her first roles in Byker Grove too.

Since then, Amy has appeared in Casualty as Alice Monroe, as well as a number of musical theatre productions including 9 to 5, Beryl and most recently, Waitress.

Away from acting, Chelsea is also a talented singer and formed the girl group Vivo in 2009 – and is reported to have duetted with her Emmerdale co-star Charlie Hardwick.

Chelsea is also engaged to actor James Baxter, who played Jake Doland in Emmerdale.

The couple began dating in 2018, but they first met at a drama workshop aged 14 years old, with Chelsea telling The Mirror: "I really fancied him and he did not fancy me at all!

"He's a year older and I thought he was really cool, but I also remember thinking, "Well, no wonder he's not interested, because he's just so much older than me!"

Kelvin Fletcher (Andy Sugden)

Kelvin Fletcher was just 12 years old when he became a household name in Emmerdale as Andy Sugden.

After making his first TV appearances in Coronation Street, Cracker and Heartbeat, Kelvin became a familiar face on Emmerdale and remained on the soap for more than 20 years.

During this time his character was involved in huge storylines including affairs with Bernice Blackstock and setting fire to a barn, accidentally killing his mother Sarah.

Kelvin's character Andy left the soap in 2016, but three years later, he scored huge success after lifting the glitterball trophy on with professional dance partner Oti Mabuse on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.

The actor has since appeared in TV series including Death In Paradise, Moving On, The Teacher and McDonalds and Dodds.

However, it seems he would be keen to put his dancing shoes back on, tweeting in October 2020: "I’m here if you need me @bbcstrictly."

Fans were delighted by the idea, with one commenting: "That’s what I was thinking! Get ready," with a second saying: "Oh my that would be amazing."

Kelvin is also a huge fan of motorsports and has regularly competed in races including the British GT Championships.

Since 2015 he has also been married to Liz Marsland and the couple have one child together.

Sammy Winward (Katie Sugden)

Sammy Winward made her debut as teenager Katie Sugden in 2001, where her character became embroiled in a number of storylines including her involvement with the mineshaft accident in 2012 and her romance with Adam Barton.

However after 14 years on the soap, Sammy's character Katie was killed off in 2015 after Katie fell to her death during an argument with ex-boyfriend Robert Sugden.

Since then, Sammy has appeared in a number of TV programmes including the 2015 crime drama Prey and 2017's Fearless.

Away from the limelight, Sammy shares one child with former fiancé and footballer David Dunn.

She is also married to her husband Martyn Hardy, with the couple regularly sharing sweet snaps of one another on Instagram.

One snap showed the couple snuggled up together as they smiled for the camera, with Sammy captioning the post: "On our way home from our London celebrations. Had the most magical weekend. The ballet, comedy clubs, food food and more food and walking till our feet hurt.

"Six years today being engaged to the love of my life, four years married, 24 years of friendship and still going strong. Here's to 24 more."

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm
