A woman who split from her own ‘cheating’ fiancé has revealed her ‘fool-proof’ hack for finding out if your significant other is going to be unfaithful when you’re married.

Kira Arellano, 19, a behavioral health technician from Las Vegas, Nevada, recently went viral on TikTok after claiming she’s discovered a method for finding out if someone is cheating or planning on cheating.

Four months into her whirlwind romance with her now ex, she found out he had been unfaithful while she was pregnant with his baby. She decided not to have the child, but she forgave him and accepted his proposal just three days later.

In a bid to secure her finances and emotional well-being, she immediately suggested a prenuptial agreement, which included a clause stating that if either of them cheats, the other half is entitled to compensation for emotional damage.

‘I brought up the prenup and infidelity clause, which he was very uncomfortable about,’ she told NeedToKnow.Online. ‘Eventually, he did reluctantly agree, although he showed lessened intentions of getting married after that.

‘[This was] around three months into our engagement, where up until this point, he was very adamant on getting married and having a baby.’

Arellano said they already had ‘some very brief conversations’ about wedding venues, and she had picked out a dress that she ‘fell in love with,’ but their planning came to a halt after the prenup conversations.

Frequent arguments led to her realization that she couldn’t ‘change him,’ and they split soon after.

Arellano recalled how she suggested they add an infidelity clause to their prenup. If either of them cheated, the other would be entitled to compensation for emotional damage

Arellano now lives by the old adage ‘once a cheater, always a cheater’ and wants to protect other women from infidelity.

She opened up about her experience on TikTok in her now-viral video.

‘This is a 100 per cent fool-proof way to find out if the man you’re considering marrying is gonna cheat on you in the future,’ she said. ‘One word: prenup.’

Arellano explained that her ex cheated on her when she was pregnant with his child, but she stupidly decided to give him another chance.

Viewers flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, and many agreed that having a prenup is a surefire way to protect yourself

After they got engaged, she started working on their prenuptial agreement and suggested they include an infidelity clause.

‘He looked at me like I was insane. It started a whole argument,’ she recalled. ‘I was just sitting there calm. Like I don’t understand what the issue is here. Just don’t cheat.’

Arellano finally realized what the real issue was.

‘It’s because he planned to do it again,’ she concluded.

Viewers flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, and many agreed that having a prenup is a surefire way to protect yourself and make sure your partner is committed.

As for Arellano, she doesn’t have any regrets about what happened or the lesson that she learned after their breakup

‘I’m very thankful that I got out of that relationship and prevented myself from being stuck in a marriage with someone who doesn’t love me and never loved me,’ she said

‘The only way I’ll get married is if the prenup says this,’ one person wrote, while another added: ‘No matter how much you love the person GET A PRENUP.’

‘Prenups should be standard…it’s not a bad thing. Protect yourself always. If he loves you, he will sign it,’ someone else shared.

Another user gave a detailed account of her own prenup, saying they have stipulations for if they have kids together, if either party becomes disabled, and if one of them cheats.

‘We spent days and weeks doing the whole process,’ she explained. ‘He knew before he proposed I wouldn’t get married again without one.’

Arellano added that she is ‘definitely healing’ and has cut off all contact with her ex

As for Arellano, she doesn’t have any regrets about what happened or the lesson that she learned.

‘I’m very thankful that I got out of that relationship and prevented myself from being stuck in a marriage with someone who doesn’t love me and never loved me,’ she said.

‘I’m definitely healing and it can be really hard sometimes because I really did love this person, even though I know he hurt me and cheated on me. I never cheated on him,’ she noted.

‘I tried to be the best girlfriend, and I know that whenever I do decide I’m ready to start another relationship, I will be confident that I can carry myself out to be a good partner.

‘Now, I can explore my sexuality further, and I’ve stayed firm on cutting contact with him.’
