Many supermarkets offer loyalty schemes so shoppers can get the most from their money. Those shopping at Tesco can sign up for a Clubcard.

Clubcard points can be exchanged for vouchers at a number of Tesco’s partners.

The retailer has announced Clubcard holders will no longer be able to use their points at NOW TV.

Currently, shoppers can exchange their hard earned vouchers for NOW TV credit.

NOW TV gives shoppers three times the value of their Clubcard points and it can be used on it’s passes.

For example, Clubcard customers can swap vouchers for the Sky Cinema Pass, Entertainment Pass, Sky Sports Pass, Kids Pass or Hayu Pass.

From January 31, 2020, however, shoppers will no longer be able to do this.

A statement on the Tesco website read: “Unfortunately, NOW TV will leave the Clubcard scheme on 31 January 2021.

“You will be able to exchange your Clubcard vouchers until this date and any vouchers you receive must be redeemed before the expiry date included in your latest email.”

Those who want to take advantage of the partnership need to act fast as vouchers must be redeemed soon.

While the collaboration is set to end, Britons can still take advantage of other Clubcard deals.

How does a Tesco Clubcard work?

Customers earn Clubcard points when presenting their card or account in stores.

They receive one point for every £1 spent in stores or online and one point for every £2 spent on fuel from Tesco.

Points are added to the Clubcard account and 150 points is equal to £1.50.

The points can be exchanged for vouchers to be spent in Tesco stores.

They can also be put towards discounts on meals out, day trips and even holidays.

Clubcard vouchers are usually valid for two years from when they are earned.

However, Tesco has updated it’s policy to give more flexibility during the coronavirus pandemic.

“This year, as a little help from Clubcard, we extended Clubcard vouchers for a further six. months. Here are the updated expiry dates,” the Tesco website stated.

“Clubcard vouchers expiring in May 2020 will now expire in November 2020.

“Clubcard vouchers expiring in August 2020 will expire in February 2021.

“Clubcard vouchers expiring in November 2020 will expire in May 2021.”
