New WAG on the block! Meet Enzo Fernandez's teenage sweetheart

New WAG on the block! Enzo Fernandez’s teenage sweetheart Valentina Cervantes ‘dropped out’ of English teacher training to follow the midfielder to Lisbon (and he’s set to become the Premier League’s most expensive EVER signing!)

  • Enzo Fernandez has reportedly been offered £112m by Chelsea to leave Lisbon
  • Midfielder, 21, has been dating his glamorous girlfriend Valentina for four years
  • Mother, 22, was reportedly studying to be English teacher before meeting Enzo

He’s the hottest prospect in football right now – but if Enzo Fernandez agrees to transfer to Chelsea, he won’t have to relocate to the UK solo.

Although he originally started out his career in Argentina’s second division, the midfielder was snapped up by Benfica for £10m in summer 2022.

From there, the 21-year-old up-and-coming star clearly impressed Lionel Scaloni – with the Argentina manager going on to pick Enzo for his World Cup team.

Three weeks on from Argentina’s win over France in Qatar, Enzo is potentially going to become most expensive ever Premier League player after Chelsea reportedly offered him £122m to move over to Stamford Bridge.

Valentina Cervandes and daughter Olivia rushed onto the pitch at Qatar to congratulate Enzo following Argentina’s World Cup win last month

But through all the ups and downs of Enzo’s stratospheric rise to football stardom, there’s been one constant: his devoted girlfriend Valentina Cervantes.

The 21-year-old football star has been in a relationship with the glamorous social media influencer, 22, for the past four years.

The couple – who fell in love as teenagers – share two-year-old daughter Olivia, who joined them on the pitch in Qatar.

Celebrating her partner’s career-changing win, Valetina shared a sweet family photo with her 439,000 Instagram followers – pledging to ‘love Enzo to infinity’.

Valentina has racked up over 439,000 Instagram followers thanks to her glamorous pictures

She captioned the post: ‘CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD! I have no words to describe this moment, proud of you and everything you achieved.’

Following the win, Enzo crowned Young Player of the Tournament after his country’s triumph over France on penalties.

Although Valentina’s Instagram is full of photos of her other half, the couple have never publicly spoken about their relationship – preferring to leave gushing comments on each other’s feeds.

In response to Valentina’s World Cup tribute post, Enzo wrote: ‘I LOVE YOU.’

According to local news outlet TN, Valentina was studying to become an English teacher when she first met Enzo at the age of 18.

The publication reports that Valentina abandoned her studies as her partner’s profession started to require more international travel.

In May 2020, the couple welcomed their daughter Olivia and Valentina has documented her journey into motherhood online.

Sharing a picture of her daughter at just eight months old, the fashionista gushed: ‘It’s amazing how something so small can make you feel something so huge.’

Before she was even two years old, Valentina was already taking her daughter to Enzo’s matches as a show of support.

Captioning a photo of her daughter in the stands, she wrote: ‘OUR CHAMP! We love you lots.’

But when she’s not posting photos of her adorable daughter, Valentina also uses her social media profiles to share her love of fashion.

In a recent post, the mother posed within Benfica’s stadium in a chic hot pink co-ord, which she paired with a £760 black Prada leather trainers and a £1.700 Gucci clutch bag.

Clearly a fan of the Italian fashion brand, Valentina was also pictured rocking their £520 bucket hat in Qatar.

In a sweet family photo, the mother was spotted in a £1,200 Gucci cropped jersey jacket – featuring the brand’s distinctive red-and-white sports stripe.

Earlier this week, Portuguese sources say Chelsea’s proposal for Enzo is above the midfielder’s £106m buy out clause but would be paid in three instalments of £37.3m over three years.

The format is similar to the deal constructed by Atletico Madrid to buy Joao Felix from Benfica in 2019.

The deal would make World Cup winner Fernandez the most expensive signing in Premier League history.

Graham Potter’s Chelsea expect to finalise their £33.5m deal for Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile on Tuesday following the 21-year old’s medical.
