A savvy mum has shared a clever trick to make loo roll last longer if your kids are always using way too much.
We’ve all experienced it – your children are great, but boy can they use reams and reams of toilet paper for no real reason.
So how can you stop little ones from pulling huge lengths off the stuff whenever they nip to the toilet?
Well, this Aussie parent has the perfect solution – and there’s no weird rationing happening either.
Her trick is to press down on the paper and squash it before mounting it on the holder so that it doesn’t endlessly spin when they’re pulling off paper.
Instead, when kids go to take some loo roll a few squares will rip away rather than half the roll.
She shared the easy hack on Facebook where other mums and dads praised the useful tip.
She said: "Kids home from school? Going through toilet paper faster than usual?"
Then, the mum showed off her trick.
Parents loved the simple idea.
One joked: "This would be perfect for us, my daughter pulls it and it comes off.
“Then she calls me because the toilet paper is running.”
And, it’s not just kids the trick can be used on.
Another woman wrote: "I will be doing this for my partner.”
"I will do this for my husband, I hear the toilet roll holder and just cringe,’ agreed another.
Not everyone loved the hack though – some called it “evil” and others didn’t think it would work on their children.
"Wouldn't work for my kids, they would keep on pulling," a mum noted.
And, others had their own solutions to add to the mix.
A parent added: "I used to put it out of reach so they had to yell out for me to ration it for them.”
“I draw a line on the wall three or four squares down – it is an easy measurement for all,” commented another.
