Is this the rebirth of The Tig?

Meghan Markle announced Monday that she is considering returning to Instagram after deactivating her accounts because of bullying.

“I’m getting back … on Instagram,” she told New York magazine’s The Cut with “her eyes alight and devilish,” according to writer Allison P. Davis.

The Duchess of Sussex was forced to hand over control of her social media accounts, as well as her passport, ability to open her own mail and many other seemingly normal activities, upon becoming engaged to Prince Harry in 2017.

“It was a big adjustment — a huge adjustment to go from that kind of autonomy to a different life,” she told the publication.

But later in the profile, Davis wrote that Markle, 41, relayed she “was no longer sure she would actually return to Instagram.”

The “Suits” alum appeared on Instagram via @KensingtonRoyal and subsequently @SussexRoyal — the latter of which was ultimately removed after she and Harry, 37, quit the royal family in 2020 — but found herself at the center of severe cyberbullying.

“We will revisit social media when it feels right for us — perhaps when we see more meaningful commitments to change or reform — but right now we’ve thrown much of our energy into learning about this space and how we can help,” Harry shared during a 2021 interview with Fast Company.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed she took issue with the fact that she had to share photos of her children with British media, who treated her poorly.
