Using bags of frozen food can keep food costs down but once that bag is open, somehow there’s always a few things that escape.
While you can try bag clips or rubber bands, they’re easy to lose and you never seem to have enough.
But one man has come up with an easy hack to seal the bag – by cutting it in a way that means you can tie the top.
Philip Quinn, from Queensland, Australia, shows how if you open the bag down the middle instead of across the top, you’re left with two tabs.
Then, if you take out the first portion, it leaves enough room for you to grab each side and tie them together.
It might seem simple but why didn’t we think of it before!?
Philip Quinn shared the idea on TikTok and said: ‘Just in case y’all haven’t discovered this yet.’
Yess was I am phat but no this want just for me and yes I did add more after😉😂#fyp #foodthingz #food #lifehacks #foodhacks #foodfetish #trend #foru
It’s been viewed more than a million times and people were impressed with the idea.
‘I am impressed. Wow. How have I never once thought to do this,’ one person said.
A second said: ‘No, no just no. All my 26 years and I’ve never thought of this?’
‘Now this is a game changer. No more frozen peas floating in my freezer drawer,’ someone else added.
Others said they were about to get mad about how he was opening the bag until they saw the reason.
One comment said: ‘I was so mad at you for opening the bag like that then it turned into pure genius.’
