Inside Brenda Edwards, Judi Love and Charlene Whites afternoon at Buckingham Palace

Loose Women star Brenda Edwards has given fans a glimpse into her afternoon visit to Buckingham Palace alongside pals Judi Love and Charlene White.

The trio of TV presenters attended a royal reception to celebrate the Commonwealth Diaspora, an event which applauds and recognises the important contribution the organisation provides the United Kingdom.

They were amongst hundreds of guests at the palace, including key figures from the NHS and charity sector.

Brenda shared a snap of herself shaking hands with the future King of England, Prince Charles, with her 112k followers on Instagram.

She captioned the post: "It was an honour to be invited to the Palace yesterday and it was overwhelming to connect with so many wonderful people in one room what a day!"

Brenda kept to the theme with a royal blue jumpsuit and jacket in a slightly lighter shade.

She kept accessories to a minimum with two pendant necklaces and a blue bracelet bearing the name of her son, Jamal Edwards, who passed away earlier this year.

It was her first public appearance since announcing his death.

Fans were quick to flock to the comments with praise for the brave mum.

One user wrote: "You looked stunning & radiate with such a beautiful aura. I’ve no doubt Jamal was by your side", while another wrote: "Your strength and drive are incredible – am so glad you are driving forward Jamal’s legacy and educating so positively. Thank you".

The ladies each posted the same photo ahead of the event, showcasing their stunning style and smiling for the camera before making their way to the palace.

On the left, presenter Charlene White oozed glamour in a terracotta, blue and pink long sleeved maxi dress in an outfit by "independent black designers".

To the right, Judi Love wore a tie-side printed midi dress from her own Very collection.

She paired the bold look silver cascading earrings, a green handbag, and green wedge heels.

Brenda wrote a lovely caption to accompany her group snap.

She wrote: "Yesterday was such an amazing experience at Buckingham Palace and I was so happy to have spent it in the company of my beautiful ladies @charlenewhite and @1judilove who both looked stunning!!!

"Judi you gave me pure jokes as per usual thank you, can’t wait to be back on @loosewomen with you both very soon bring it on love you guys"

On a similarly positive note, Charlene wrote: "We ate, we drank, and we *just* about behaved".

Judi was papped mid-conversation with Prince Charles, with a glimpse of the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, in the background.

Although, fun as it looks, she actually confessed to being fist full in a bowl of Dorito crisps when she first met the prince.

During a piece on Loose Women, she revealed all the 'overwhelming' details of her experience: "There was a snack bar and the bowls were empty by the time I turned around and heard 'Oh Judy it's so nice to meet you' and it was Prince Charles.

"I was so overwhelmed I didn't know what to do.

"It was so nice, we had a good old chat, we were laughing… We were talking about the song Sweet Caroline, the grandchildren.

"I can't lie, there were points [Charles, Camilla and I] were talking and [I smiled and agreed] even though I didn't know what they were talking about."

Charlene White, 41, referred to experience as a "Ladies day out to the Palace" with "two gorgeous humans"; being, Judi and Brenda.

The latter commented on Charlene's post, saying: "I was so over the moon to have been with you both, Charlene you are such a tour de force, I absolutely love you see you soon".

Brenda has recently undergone a tremendous family tragedy after the death of her son Jamal Edwards, 31.

In a statement read out by presenter Ruth Langsford, Brenda said: “We have been so incredibly touched by the outpouring of love and support, and you are all helping us try and get through the unimaginable.”

“I have sadly learned that the cause of Jamal's devastating passing was due to cardiac arrhythmia caused by having taken recreational drugs and I wanted to address this myself to everyone who loved, admired and respected my son.”
