Free Lollapalooza Tickets Offered as Vaccine Incentive in Chicago

Chicago will give away 1,200 Lollapalooza tickets as an incentive for people to get vaccinated.

Anyone with an appointment at one of four of the city’s vaccination sites on June 26, dubbed “Lolla Day,” will receive a single-day pass to the Grant Park music festival this summer. The city said there will also be an opportunity for already-vaccinated residents to score tickets through a link released on the Chicago Department of Public Health’s website and social media channels on June 27.

The sites will transform into a “Lollapalooza experience” with DJs, custom Lolla-branded giveaways and free passes. Each sites will offer passes to a different day of the four-day event, with Wilbur Wright College giving away passes for Thursday, Richard J. Daley College for Friday, Kennedy King College for Saturday and Malcolm X College for Sunday.

The passes can be picked up on July 10 at a Protect Chicago Music Series concert event at the House of Blues, featuring an unnamed Lollapalooza artist.

“Lollapalooza has called Chicago home for the past 16 years, and we truly love this vibrant city,” C3 Presents co-founder Charlie Walker said in a statement. “We are pleased to partner with and support the city to encourage vaccinations.”
