Playstation fans have been eagerly awaiting Sony’s elusive console, which was released six months ago but proved virtually impossible to get hold of – both in store and online.
Today (July 9) Argos has just dropped a restock online and no doubt desperate fans will be taking to the droves to get their hands on one.
At the moment, Argos seems to be the only retailer with confirmed stock. The retailer has launched a restock of the Playstation 5 Digital Console (£359.99) and the Playstation 5 Standard Console (£449.99) online.
The Digital console doesn't have a disc-tray and therefore will set you back £359.99, however if you're going for the full console with all of the trimmings you're looking at £449.99.
It seems customers will only be in with a chance of getting hold of a console if your local store has enough stock for delivery or via click and collect options.
Millions of gamers will be hoping to get their hands on eagerly awaited PS5 consoles, most of which are expected to drop at retailers from this week.
The consoles fell victim to a string of hold-ups for parts, in particular an integral part of the machine called the Micro-chi. This includes the global pandemic, as well as a giant shipping container blocking the Suez.
Lucky customers who do manage to get one can expect plenty of top of the line features, such as lightning-fast loading with an ultra high speed SSD and 3D audio technology.

You'll enjoy smoother gameplay in high definition thanks to 4K TV gaming and an immersive experience with support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
If you don't manage to find one in your nearest Argos, online retailer TecoBuy is currently selling the Sony PS5 digital edition with a wireless controller for £638.99.
However, you'll be paying a lot more if you choose to buy from this website – so it could be worth waiting until other retailers bring out stock.
We've listed out some of the major sites worth keeping an eye on for stock below.
- Currys PC World
- Smyths Toys
If you don't manage to get your hands on one this weekend, we predict many more retailers to begin stocking up in time for next week, with Smyths Toys, ASDA and GAME among the rumoured places to be next to restock.
