Hasbro Turns 'Jurassic Park's T-Rex and Ford Explorer Into Transformers

Hasbro is celebrating Steven Spielberg‘s 1993 classic Jurassic Park by turning both its T-Rex and iconic Ford Explorer into Transformers.

On the dinosaur front, the menacing T-Rex now takes on the mantle of Tyrannocon Rex, an enraged Transformer on the loose. Standing seven inches tall, the massive reptile transforms into its robot form in 27 steps and features an all-new head mold.

Hunting the Tyrannocon Rex down will be Autobot JP93, coming in the form of the film’s vibrant Ford Explorer. With a height of 5.5 inches, the Autobot transforms through 18 steps and carries both a special hat and blaster inspired by Sam Neill’s Dr. Alan Grant and Bob Peck’s game warden.

For fans of Jurassic Park and Transformers, take a closer look at both figures in the gallery above while you wait for the two-pack to drop over on Amazon for $105 USD at 1:00 p.m. PT today.

Elsewhere in toys, KOTOBUKIYA has unveiled three Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Egyptian God card sculptures.
