Foul play suspected after 22-year-old influencer's body found

Police have said they are investigating possible foul over the death of 22-year-old Instagram influencer Beauty Couch.

The influencer’s body was found near a burning vehicle on August 23 in Austell, Georgia.

Couch had roughly 150,000 followers on Instagram, where she posted videos of herself dancing on roller-skates. She recently launched her own skating classes.

Cobb County Police Department said in a statement: ‘Based on the initial scene investigation, foul play is suspected, and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Cobb County Police.’

The Austell Fire Department were notified about a fire on Wednesday afternoon,  and they found a vehicle engulfed in flames in a ‘brush fire’.

Initially, a body was not discovered, and so police travelled to the address the vehicle was registered at.

There, they learned the owner’s daughter Beauty Couch had not been seen since the previous morning, and was the person most likely to be driving the vehicle.

Officers returned to the scene and searched the woodline area where the car was found and discovered a body matching Couch’s description.

Couch’s mother Kimberly told WSB-TV: ‘She was a sweet girl, she never bothered nobody. She was a friend to everybody.

‘She loved going skating. She loved going to work. She loved her clothes. She loved wearing her hair so pretty.’

Her last Instagram post was five days ago, in which the influencer posed in a bikini and wrote: ‘He said I look good in red , might as well call me sexy redd.’

Followers were quick to comment on the post, as one wrote: ‘If anyone knows what happened to her please contact the police. She was found gone and car burned. Such a beautiful soul gone too soon.’

Another said: ‘My condolences & prayers to your family . Your smile was infectious ❤️🙏🏾.’
