Over one year on from his appointment as the creative director of New Balance MADE in USA and Teddy Santis finally looks to have unveiled a selection of looks from his much-anticipated debut collection.
Santis — who hinted at a late spring release in an interview earlier this year — only last month shared a bird’s-eye view of this season’s footwear on his personal Instagram account. Now, almost 13 months into his tenure, the first Santis-designed New Balance MADE in USA collection looks set to roll later this week and includes 990v1, 990v2 and 990v3, as well as a plethora of apparel.
According to reports, the first drop will be split into three distinct categories including “Elevated Legacy”, which will see New Balance’s classic colorways used in alternative ways, “Uniform Staple” which will provide a selection of enhanced everyday staples and “Quickstrike”, innovative shades and materials used across key New Balance models.
While footwear will undoubtedly take the headlines, sweatshirts, sweatpants, shorts, long- and short-sleeve tees will round out the collection, with prices starting from $65 USD. The collection’s first installment is set to drop on April 29 and will be available via the New Balance webstore.
In other footwear news, Salehe Bembury has delivered a stealthy New Balance 574 YURT.
