Comme des Garçons has continued its ongoing partnership with French trail-running label aficionado Salomon to release two exclusive silhouettes as a part of its Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
The Rei Kawakubo-founded outfit — which last month teamed up with Billionaire Boys Club for a limited-edition wallet capsule — reunites with Salomon following its most recent technical collab towards the end of last year.
Now introducing the SR90 and SR901E, the duo looks to merge Comme des Garçons’ archetypal luxury aesthetic, with Salomon’s performance-focused tech. The SR90 is a simple rendition of a true Salomon classic that mixes cross-country heritage with footwear modernity, while the SR901E retells the story of cross-country skiing to resemble an alternative take on the epochal XT-WINGS 2 ADV.
Crafted exclusively for Comme des Garçons, each style features durable cushioning and a performance-enhancing Energy Surge midsole that delivers an energetic ride whenever on the move.
The collection is set to drop via both Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market webstores, with the SR90 and SR901E retailing at €225 (approx. $245 USD) and €295 (approx. $320 USD) respectively.
In other footwear news, Salomon is also teaming up with Copson to release multiple takes of the Ultra Raid.
