A Closer Look at the Upcoming New Balance MADE in USA 990s

After Teddy Santis officially unveiled the first drop of his New Balance MADE in USA tenure, HYPEBEAST takes a closer look at the trio of 990 silhouettes that look set to land later this week.

Santis — who teased an aerial shot of this season’s footwear in an Instagram post earlier this year — is revisiting the 990v1, 990v2 and 990v3 for his debut release, dousing each in a colorway titled “Marblehead with Incense” inspired by the 996.

Each silhouette comes equipped with a premium pigskin suede and mesh upper, alongside textured, hairy suede details. In typical New Balance style, an ENCAP midsole cushioning and lightweight foam can be found underfoot in the 990v1 and 990v3, with the 990v2 boasting an ABZORB iteration.

Arriving as a part of the first drop of Santis’ New Balance MADE in USA collection, the sneakers — which will be limited to one per customer — will release alongside a selection of apparel and be available via the New Balance webstore from April 28, 10am EST.
