The 1975 Cancel All 2021 Tour Dates, Confirm Work On New Album

The 1975 announced on Tuesday that they have canceled all their 2021 tour dates in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are really sorry to announce that we have made the decision to cancel all scheduled touring for 2021,” the English pop rock band said on Twitter.

The 1975’s European tour was scheduled to kick off next month, followed by a U.S. tour.

“These are incredibly difficult times for a lot of people and until we can be sure that we will be able to play shows in a way that is safe for our fans and crew, we have decided the best course of action is to cancel our touring,” the band added. “So that, where possible, everyone can get their tickets refunded sooner rather than later.”

Meanwhile, there is some good news for 1975 fans. Mathew Healy and company are currently working on a new album, which will be a follow up to Notes On An Conditional Form, which dropped in May 2020.

“We’re currently making a new album and look forward to seeing you all at a show as soon as it is safe to do so,” the band tweeted.
