How much would you shell out to meet you favourite celeb and have a picture with them? Unless you’re absolutely loaded, probably not £849, which how much action movie legend Sylvester Stallone of his fans.
The 72-year-old actor is heading out on the road around the UK to host a series of ‘experience evenings’ in London, Manchester and Birmingham, which are described as ‘intimate Black Tie dinners’ complete with ‘food, drinks and musical entertainment’.
Sound up your street? Then you might have to dip into your savings, cause a night in the presence of Hollywood royalty does not come cheap – especially if you want a snap with Sylvester.
To get your hands on a ‘premium photo’ – of which there are only 10 available – you’ll have a shell out a whopping £849 in addition to your entry ticket, the cheapest of which clocks in at £125 plus booking fee.
But what do you actually receive for that amount of money? Well you get an exclusive lanyard, you get to meet Sly and take a professional picture with him, your photo is printed and framed ready to take home on the night and you also get a digital copy so you can put it on Instagram – but you can actually get all that for a paltry £495.
The extra £354 that bumps you up to a premium customer means you’ll also get queue priority, Sylvester will sign your photo with a gold pen, and your special lanyard will also be gold.
Of course, if you’re not bothered about having a picture with Rocky then you could always just go for the dining experience and if you cough up enough cash you’ll get the chance to ask him a question during the Q&A. Lucky you.
Fans of the star and his movies expressed their disappointment with the sky high pricing, with one commenting: ‘Early Christmas present for me? (in fact, Christmas, birthday 2020 and Christmas 2020, looking at the prices haha)’.
Another added that the turnaround between the event announcement and having to cough up the money was too tight, writing: ‘The only problem I find with these events you get like 10 days get the money together not so easy for some ppl [sic]’.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the organisers of the event said: ‘Our events receive five star reviews that say how amazing our events are. For that reason the price dictates the quality.
We make dreams come true and bring otherwise untouchable celebrities into a setting to meet fans.’
Sylvester Stallone not your bag?
Don’t worry, the same company have similar events coming up Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mel Gibson, most of which are already sold out… even at that price.
