Stephen Mulhern has spoken out about why he has been absent from Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway in recent weeks.
The presenter revealed his absence is down to "doctor’s orders" and he hasn't been well but is now "on the mend".
He tweeted: "Hello all, Sorry I’ve been quiet on here recently and thank you for all your lovely messages. I’ve had some time off and been resting up on doctors orders.
"I’m on the mend, I’m happy to say, and looking forward to getting back to work soon.
"In the meantime I’ll put my feet up and watch Saturday Night Takeaway tonight with the rest of you lot."
He ended the tweet: "Please don’t miss me too much! Lots of love, Stephen. X."
Fans had been concerned about his absence from the popular ITV show and were quick to tweet their well wishes to the popular presenter.
One wrote: "Awww hope you get well soon and also get lots of rest Stephen! I've been catching up on some old episodes of 'Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown' on YouTube as I grew up watching you two every weekend and you are just the same on SNT. Take care!" followed by a red heart emoji.
Another shared: "We’ve missed your special brand of humour, but are pleased you are taking doctors orders seriously and resting up. Sending healing hugs."
While a third added: "So good to see this tweet, Stephen. My daughter had been asking most days if you had tweeted anything and was really concerned! Take it easy, listen to your body and enjoy watching the show tonight!"
