Stacey Solomon forgot husband Joe was on I’m A Celeb and hasnt watched series

Stacey Solomon has hilariously revealed that she hasn't been watching her husband Joe Swash on the current series of I'm A Celebrity… South Africa because she "forgot he was in it."

The 33-year-old met her husband Joe, 41, after she won the 2010 series of the hit reality show and he was hosting the spin-off Extra Camp, but their friendship did not turn romantic until 2016.

Former King of the Jungle Joe filmed the first all stars series of the ITV programme last year, meaning that he and his wife had both forgotten it wasn't to air until earlier this week.

Speaking to her 5.6million Instagram followers, Stacey discussed how she was delighted that she'd managed to get all of her children into bed while the sun was still up.

She then went on to divulge the plans she and Joe had for a relaxing night in front of the television.

The former X Factor finalist said: "I'm going to sort myself out and get ready to watch Joe in the jungle.

"We're going to sit and watch it tonight in bed. I'll be honest with you, both of us forgot he was even in it, so we missed it yesterday."

She laughed: "We're going to catch up today. He filmed it so long ago and we've both got baby brain now and completely forgot about it.

"So we're going to catch up tonight and then I'm going to go straight to sleep after the jungle."

Since Joe filmed his second stint in the I'm A Celebrity… camp, he and Stacey have welcomed their third child together, a daughter named Belle.

And ahead of his arrival airing earlier this week, Joe revealed his children were the inspiration behind him signing up again.

He said: "My eldest son Harry was one when I did the jungle and he is 16 now.

"I want the kids to watch I’m a Celebrity…South Africa and for both of us to be able to tell them, ‘I’m A Celebrity is where Mummy and Daddy met’. The jungle is always going to be a big part of our family."

He continued: "I can’t express enough my gratitude for the fact I met Stacey on the back of it, had my kids and it gave me a whole different direction with my career.

"Doing the All-Stars series is closure. It finishes the circle."

On Thursday night, viewers will watch as Joe and his campmates battle a horrendous storm which leaves them afraid to sleep outside.

I'm A Celebrity… South Africa airs nightly at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
