Queen spotted en route to Buckingham Palace for Jubilee balcony appearance

The Queen has been spotted making her way to Buckingham Palace for today's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Elizabeth II, who resides at Windsor Castle, was seen in a car heading to London on Thursday morning, as the Trooping of the Colour parade took place.

Her journey took place as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their kids took part in the procession.

The parade is the first for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The traditional carriage procession left Buckingham Palace ahead of Trooping the Colour, also known as the Birthday Parade, that marked the start of four day of festivities honouring the Queen’s 70-year reign.
