Post Malone won big at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, winning nine awards, including Top Artist.
Malone, who came into the show with 16 nominations, won the top prize edging out fellow nominees Billie Eilish, the Jonas Brothers, Khalid and Taylor Swift.
The 25-year-old rapper also won Billboard awards for Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist, Top Rap Tour and Top Rap Album for Hollywood’s Bleeding.
In the award ceremony held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday with no live audience, host Kelly Clarkson carried the trophies in a cart maintaining COVID protocols. “I can’t touch you, so I had to wheel it out,” said the singer.
Malone said in his acceptance speech that he was “blown away just by the love everybody’s shown to me.”
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards show was originally scheduled for April 29 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
