Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen – and her flock – have teamed up with Premier Inn to launch the brand’s first-ever video streaming platform, Ewe Tube, dedicated to encouraging sleep by digitally counting sheep. The Channel 5 star took to Instagram this morning to announce the news.

“We all need some rest and relaxation now more than ever, which is why I’ve been working with the sleep experts at @premierinn to help the nation #resteasy.

“To do this, we have created an alternate experience to the usual high tension streaming services, called Ewe Tube,” she wrote online.

Explaining more about the concept, Amanda went on to reveal that the website would feature popular movies as you’ve never seen them before.

“Instead of putting you on the edge of your seat or binge-watching until the early hours, Ewe Tube will help you to unwind and relax with beautiful scenes from the Yorkshire countryside and my superstar sheep starring in their very own must-stream films and shows,” she stated.

Many took to the comments section of her post to share their delight at the news.

“That’s amazing! What a good idea,” one social media user wrote.

“Can’t wait! Already,” another added.

A third asked for more details: “Where can I find Ewe Tube please, guys? Anyone?”

Fans of the show can find more content on www.Ewe.Tube.

Another viewer seemed concerned that the mother-of-nine rarely got time to rest herself.

“Aww that sounds really good!! But when do you get your rest and relaxation? You never stop!!!

“I’m in total awe of you and love your programme and your family are fantastic,” they told her.

Another added in agreement: “You said what I was thinking.

“@yorkshireshepherdess is incredible. I love watching our Yorkshire farm, I just admire them all so much.”

The news comes after research found that 24 per cent of Brits think that not being able to go on holiday this year will make them feel less rested.

It also discovered that the average person delays bedtime by 36 minutes due to streaming videos online, creating 17 full hours of possible extra rest a month that is being missed out on.

It also follows the rise of slow TV.

Viewers around the world are tuning into programmes, which tend to be documentaries, following mundane everyday events.

Supported by Sleep Expert, Natalie Pennicotte-Collier, Ewe Tube is full of video content starring Amanda and her sheep on Ravenseat farm.

Films include The Queen’s Lambit, Casabaaa’nca and The Lone Wool Ranger.
