Lorraine Kelly dressed up in a truly gorgeous violet ensemble as she went to receive her CBE on Thursday December 9.
The 62 year old presenter, who hosts her own daily morning chat show Lorraine on ITV, beamed ear-to-ear as she posed alongside her husband Steve Smith holding her impressive medal in hand.
The Scottish star, who has been a staple in her line of work since the 80s, started off as a news broadcast journalist for ITV.
She then became a famous TV personality in her own right as the years went on and made an exceptional contribution in her field, which culminated in a wonderful moment for the presenter just before Christmas.
Dressed in a beautiful flared purpled coat dress that cinched in at the waist, Lorraine opted to have her auburn tresses swept into an elegant bun in a rare hairstyle change for the star.
She chose low kitten-style heels to pair with the outfit, and matched her dress with a violet fascinator placed in her hair.
The presenter's husband Steve meanwhile, decided to show off their Scottish heritage in a tartan kilt and traditional socks, which he paired with a shimmering blue suit jacket and bowtie.
The couple posed arm in arm for the momentous occasion, as Lorraine couldn't stop smiling for the camera.
Lorraine grinned as she was bestowed the medal by Princess Anne at the Royal ceremony in Windsor Castle.
Also receiving an honour was Brookside creator Phil Redmond.
Lorraine also posted her own selfie with husband of 29 years Steve on her Instagram page.
The presenter captioned her snap: "With my Steve at Windsor getting a CBE from the Princess Royal Princess Anne.
"All a bit overwhelming," the star added.
She also thanked her hair and beauty team for doing her up for the occasion, also writing "honoured" and "happy" in the hashtags.
