Katie Price is left ‘devastated’ as her £1.3m ‘mucky mansion’ is ‘ransacked and destroyed by intruders’… amid renovations to sell former home

Katie Price’s former home in Sussex has reportedly been broken into and destroyed by intruders – after she’d renovated the £1.3million property in a bid to sell it.

The 42-year-old glamour model, who is currently renting a house nearby as the property undergoes a complete makeover, is said to be ‘devastated’ after learning that the ground floor ceiling has collapsed, wrecking her brand new kitchen.

A source told The Sun: ‘Katie is devastated. She is fearful that whoever has done this has a vendetta against her and even thinks it could be linked to her standing up against social media bullying trolls.’

‘This crime was committed to cause as much impact and personal upset as possible to Katie,’ continued the source.

The Sun also reports that the intruders raided boxes of Katie’s personal effects, which had been stored in her loft, and left her belongings strewn across the floor.

All of the damage is said to have been discovered by a neighbour, who was in the midst of conducting a routine sweep of the home and its surrounding 12 acres.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Katie Price and the Sussex Police for comment.

Last month, Katie took to YouTube to walk her subscribers around her infamous ‘mucky mansion’ – and revealed that she’s selling it.

The TV personality has been living with a friend elsewhere and vowed to clear out the Sussex property and never live there again.

She took the opportunity to enjoy a trip down memory lane, digging through her memorabilia, which included her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! rucksack and one of her TV awards.

She was followed around the house with a camera – none of her five children in attendance – and dubbed the house ‘Priceywood’ as she led the tour.

Katie showed off her diamante chandeliers – which she claimed would look good in her bedroom when she moves – and remarked: ‘I can see my reflection… when I’m lying there I can say “look at me”. It’s gleaming, just like me.’

Having appeared on I’m A Celeb twice, Katie dug out her backpack, which she claimed hadn’t been emptied out.

She waved around her water canister, leaving it sealed – most likely containing some very questionable water all these years later.

She next happened upon her last autobiography [Katie has released six to date!] and exclaimed: ‘My most sensational autobiography yet. That’s what it was then.

Memories: She showed off a number of her personal effects as she shared a host of memories

‘But I’m telling you now, my next book – I haven’t done a book for four years, nearly five years – Jesus, that will be explosive.’

Katie experienced a ‘nightmare year’ in 2019 – with illness, cheating scandals, financial woes and driving bans – and she is said to be penning a seventh tell-all to chart what happened.

Katie found her Celebrity Mum Of The Year award from 2012  admitting she ‘loves an award’ and then happened upon some of her topless snaps from her days as Jordan.

‘My areolas don’t look like that anymore,’ she remarked, assessing the images, before stumbling across mugs with her on them.

‘There’s heaps of these, maybe I could flog them and make a bit of money,’ she commented.

Katie’s Sussex pile has been in a state of disrepair for months and earlier this year  she vowed to get her life back on track after being declared bankrupt.

The former glamour model, who was once worth more than £40 million, was forced to give up her £1.3million 11-bedroom mansion earlier this year after signing the property over to a trustee.

She was made bankrupt last November after the High Court found she had failed to stick to a plan to repay her debts, estimated to be £800,000.

The house in West Sussex, where Katie lived with her children, included a swimming pool, tennis court and horse stables.

Katie took out a second mortgage on the property in 2015, but faced monthly payments of £12,300, and is now thought to be £100,000 in arrears.

Following years of incomplete renovations the house was nicknamed the ‘mucky mansion’ with Katie even showcasing the extent of the mess on her reality series My Crazy Life.

The star was planning on turning her home into a wedding venue, and soon started extensive renovations which halted after being declared bankrupt, with Katie being forced to living in Harvey’s annex.

At the start of December, it was reported that Katie was allegedly taking the builder who worked on her home to court, and wanted to sue him for £1.5 million.

According to The Sun she felt he had ‘ruined’ her home after leaving ‘rubble dumped on the grounds’ and blocking a septic tank that ‘leaks excrement’ on her property.

Speaking to the publication, a source claimed: ‘Katie’s at her wits end and had to go to police after things went wrong with the house.

‘She’s also talking to lawyers as she wants to take the builder to court. She claims he’s basically ruined the house and she needs £1.5m compensation.

‘She will have to pay to move all the rubble dumped on the grounds, and thinks she’s got a good case for criminal damage because the house has been ripped apart.’

The source added that Katie felt she was ‘literally left “living in s***”‘ following the work done on her home because of a leaking septic tank.

MailOnline contacted Katie’s representatives for comment at the time.
