Kate Middleton Admits That Her Children Get Tired of Her Constantly Taking Photos

The Duchess of Cambridge got candid about how her children really feel about her passion for photography.

During a recorded video call promoting the release of her COVID-19 time capsule coffee-table book, Hold Still, Kate revealed that even though she loves capturing life’s precious moments, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis don’t always love being camera ready.

“Everyone’s like, ‘Mummy, please stop taking photographs!'” the duchess said during the conversation with Ceri Edwards, a mother and amateur photographer from South Wales.

The Duchess of Cambridge has captured a number of family portraits featuring her three children and her husband, Prince William, over the years. Most recently, Kate shared a throwback image featuring the late Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth posing alongside seven of their 11 great-grandchildren.

The duchess also often takes portraits of her children to mark their birthdays each year. Both Charlotte and Louis celebrated their birthdays this spring; she turned six, while he turned three. A new portrait of George is expected to be released next month when the young royal marks his eighth birthday in July.

Back in April, to mark the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s 10th wedding anniversary, the couple shared a rare glimpse of their family life with their children in a video clip.

“Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary,” William and Kate wrote alongside the post. “We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W&C”
