Jonnie Irwin reveals he had NHS scans in a ‘leisure centre car park’
TV presenter Jonnie Irwin has celebrated his seven-year wedding anniversary with his wife, before sharing the details in a touching Instagram post today.
The former Place In The Sun host appeared to put his health woes to one side to mark the special milestone with an intimate dinner date.
The star captioned the post: “Seven years married to this angel. I use this term because the love she shows to others is beyond comparison.
“Last night was just us; chatting, planning and gossiping. So good. Amazing food and staff at @lovagejesmond made our evening perfect. #anniversary.”
Last November, Jonnie revealed that he had been diagnosed with incurable cancer.

He first discovered symptoms whilst he was filming for A Place In The Sun and noticed his vision started to blur.
Jonnie made a return to television last month.
During a new episode of Escape to the Country, the star made an appearance in Somerset.
He uploaded an Instagram post last week saying: “Good news to start the week, there’s a brand new episode of @escape_country airing tomorrow on @bbcone at 3 pm and it’s one of mine!
“I head down to Somerset and look at some fantastic rural properties in some beautiful locations. Plus I also get to visit a cider farm- perks of the job. Hope you enjoy!”

Many people flooded the comments section as they were delighted to see him return.
