‘In the Heights’ Movie Soundtrack Reveals Which Songs Were Cut from Broadway Show

The track list for the upcoming In the Heights movie soundtrack has been announced and now we officially know which songs were cut from the Broadway show.

The upcoming movie is an adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s hit Broadway musical, which premiered back in 2008. The show won the Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Original Score.

Several songs from the Broadway show were cut for the film version and the order of songs has also been rearranged, according to the track list for the soundtrack.

The movie also features the new original song “Home All Summer,” written by Lin and performed by the film’s stars Anthony Ramos, Leslie Grace, and Marc Anthony.

The soundtrack will be released on June 11, the same day the film hits theaters and begins streaming on HBO Max. You can pre-order it now on iTunes and listen to the title track “In the Heights” below.
