Death in Paradise star Josephine Jobert has taken to Instagram as filming for the latest series of the hit BBC programme gets underway. However, the actress was left startled behind the scenes, as she requested help from fans.
Help help!! The elastic band just broke.
The TV star, who previously left the show in 2019 at the end of series eight before making a comeback, called on her fans as she was waiting to film her scenes for series 11, which is set to air in January 2022.
Josephine, 36, revealed that she was “not moving” due to the issue with her hair and make-up as she addressed her social media followers.
The Parisian born actress said that she was still filming at the “police station” and that filming had gone on “for days” before she required assistance.
In view of her 88,400 followers, Josephine hinted that she was in quite the predicament.
Sharing a video from behind-the-scenes on set, she said: “Help help!! The elastic band just broke.
“My hairstyle is going to fall apart and they are waiting for us on set!!”
She went on to add: “So she tells me not to move.
“But I’m not moving, it’s been 30 minutes!!! I’m not moving Caroline!! Hurry!!”
Earlier this month, Josephine confirmed that she would be returning as DS Florence Cassell for the anniversary series.
Josephine shared a selfie with her 88,000 followers as she basked in the exotic weather of the Guadeloupe Islands, located in the Caribbean.
She captioned her snap: “I can’t complain (absolutely not!) but quarantine is starting to become just a bit too long.”
However, it wasn’t long before Death In Paradise viewers quizzed the actress about a return.
“Have you started filming?” asked one, before Josephine responded: “Not yet. On Monday.”
Another second viewer asked: “Are you filming the new Death In Paradise?”
“Yes!” exclaimed the actress, as she reacted to the fan’s delight.
Viewers saw romance blossoming between Florence and DI Neville Parker [Ralf Little] towards the end of the last series.
Ralf joined the cast of Death in Paradise in the ninth series, taking on the role of lead detective following the departure of Ardal O’Hanlon, who played DI Jack Mooney.
Joséphine, who first appeared in the fourth series of the police drama, returned last year after a short absence.
Earlier this month, Ralf shared a glimpse of his stunning accommodation, complete with sea views, as the cast and crew returned to the island to begin filming the new series.
Filming for series 11 and 12 began filming in June 2021, with the production team sharing behind the scenes snaps of the actors.
